DoorDash is a food delivery service that operates in the United States, Canada and Australia. This popular company was founded by Stanley Tang, Tony Xu, Evan Moore and Andy Fang in 2013. Its original name was PaloAltoDelivery.com. As the top on-demand food delivery service in the United States, DoorDash employs more than 3,200 employees. In November 2020, DoorDash became a publicly-traded company. Currently, this company generates more than $1.9 billion in annual revenue. Company acquisitions include Scotty Labs and Caviar. In addition, DoorDash operates ghost kitchens and a restaurant in the San Francisco Bay area. Customers can order food from hundreds of restaurants on the DoorDash website. These include Chick-Fil-A, Noodles & Company, The Cheesecake Factory, Chipotle and McDonald's. In addition to restaurant chains, the DoorDash app includes tons of local restaurant options. Customers must sign up for a DoorDash account to place delivery orders.
