Adidas
In 1924, adidas was founded in Herzogenaurach, Germany, as "Dassler Brothers Shoe Factory." Adolf Dassler started the business in his mother's house, and his older brother Rudolf helped him develop spiked running shoes. For the 1936 Summer Olympics, they managed to convince U.S. sprinter Jesse Owens to wear one of their designs. adidas makes shoes for many different types of sports, including soccer, basketball, football, skateboarding, running, baseball, tennis and golf. Training shoes are another type of footwear that the company offers. In addition to shoes, adidas sells clothing and accessories.
